Posted this on another board but was told this would be a more suitable place. So, here goes.. I usually paint my own figures but wanted a few ones for display painted by a real pro. I contacted Artmaster Studio which is a well known painting company in the UK last summer who were eager to do the job. I asked for an update around Christmas and was told it would be "finished soon". In April I had still heard nothing and sent a message if they could just send me the figures and return the pre-payment for the commission, and send me a notification when its been shipped. I received a short message where they confirmed they would do so. No apologies for the delay or any sort of explanation. It's been a years now since the commission was started and still received no notification of the figures being shipped, with no answer to my enquiry about the matter almost 2 weeks ago. I wonder if at this point I just have to consider the possibility that I will receive neither the figures nor any refund of the pre-payment. It wasn't a large amount fortunately but bummed out by the poor communication. |

Thank You. Two of my favorite painters have had to lay down their brushes. Age/health have been the culprits. Lost a third to warfare. I'm saddened by the losses. I am also looking for new painters to replace them. I haven't been able to paint in years. Info like this spares me a mistake. Sorry you got burned, but you have helped others with this notice. Thanks again. |
