The inspiration bug bit again! Here's seven adventure seeds based around distress calls leading to horror scenarios in space. You know, like those movies with the tall folks with the toothy smiles? Enjoy!

"The message says 'save us', captain"

"Are you sure it's not 'save yourselves, lieutenant?"

<rolls a 1>

"Yup, pretty sure, sir"

"MAYDAY! MAYDAY! THEY'RE TAKEN THE BRI— click
This is Captain Janovich of the SS Minerva to approaching vessel. Please ignore previous distress message. Our radio operator is suffering from Pantovian Flu, and slipped his restraints. We are not in any danger, nor do we require any assistance. However, I would like to invite your officers and crew to dinner in our wardroom, to thank you for responding to our presumed need. Please dock at the starboard bay; we are prepared to receive you."

I always love that blog.

Never ever respond to a distress call in Traveller. It's always a trap, especially in the Spinward Marches! (At least when I'm the GM. LoL)

"They destroyed the toilets!"

"Kill me…"

Spoken in a broken voice.

Thresher0118 Jun 2022 5:07 p.m. PST

Yep, I agree, it's a trap.

Great ideas for scenarios. May borrow a couple for my spaceship gaming.
