This is a project I started a couple years ago, but didn't get far because of time and extracting models from games back then, so I decided to revisit it. Test printing for mass action 18mm Clones (18mm from foot to eye). I really want to group these as they are described in Wookiepedia and other sources:

Squad: 8 Troops led by a Sgt.
Platoon: 4 Squads led by a Lt.
Company: 4 Platoons led by a Captain
(this pattern continues as you get to battalions, regiments, brigades…etc).

First image shows printing while still on supports, with a couple tanks, BARCs, and AT-RTs (still trying to figure out how these get attached to companies or battalions)

This image shows cleaned up squads (half a platoon; the individual trooper is the Sgt. The inline trooper with the blaster as opposed to a rifle is a corporal.

Looking for rules, so suggestions are welcome. Droids will be next once I get more clones and their vehicles worked out. I want to do some more dynamic poses as well to add some more variety.

Thanks for looking, sorry the pics are a bit blurry!

Those look great! Can't wait to see them painted up! I did it in 10mm. Tried 6mm but wasn't happy with how they looked. I printed and painted up around 600 figs plus about 40-50 vehicles for our games. I have more stuff to do but it was a good start. I used the Fubar rules and my tweak on a BIG battles variant. I used the stats I created many years ago for the game. The Clone wars is a good choice to do large games with. Much better than the Imperial period.

I have 18mm armies for it using Micro Machines and Star Wars Risk Clone Troopers with a wide variety of vehicles from various sources.

Thanks

John

Louie N --- I'll have to keep an eye on those, I wasn't aware they were doing a sc-fi rampart ruleset.

John Leahy-- That sounds awesome! 6mm is too small for me too; 15/18 is the smallest I'll go. I see the SW Fubar rules, I'll have to check that out, reminds me of Command and Colors, which I thought could work for this as well.

Thanks!

I'm sure I can make the .stls available at some point, I'm just still working on everything so might be a while. This is just a side project between printing my ironclads!
