I would suspect Hail Caesar would come out on top today. WAB hasn't been around for about 15 years and certainly hasn't been supported by Games Workshop. |

We've been playing Clash of Empires since the downfall of WAB and ver2.0 days. A WAB lookalike game system but without the crazy super leaders, army tricks, and super units of all times. Plus the armies require the player to have the good and the bad units on the tabletop. Has all the army lists and more on the internet. We have also some simple two paragraph house rules which removes the huge "charge them before they charge you" mindset and "hack them them down so no reply attacks" issue with WAB, HC, and other similar rules. Now every gets the chance to inflict damage and weapon reach comes into final combat resolution adjusted COE result. |

We too have been playing COE recently. It's a VERY good, fun and comprehensive rules set. Well written and gives good outcomes, highly recommended. |
