I'm reading David Sears' The Last Epic Naval Battle: Voices from Leyte Gulf, and a US fighter pilot describes fighting a Zero with "row after row of victory markers on the fuselage under the canopy." I've seen US planes with swastikas, fasces and rising sun flags of course, but does anyone know what the Japanese used?

Japanese Kill/Victory Marker

I especially like the pink cherry blossoms.

I'm tempted to do a Mitsubishi A6M wildly plastered with pink cherry blossoms.
Or a Hello Kitty Zero.

Sometimes kill markings appeared on Japanese aircraft as silhouettes or plan views, but the most common were cherry blossoms. Example here: link

Indeed thanks. I had no idea such a thing was done by the Japanese.

Or a Hello Kitty Zero.

That's terrible. Maybe as bad as a (desert) pink Tu-2.

I'll finish mine if you finish yours. grin

It's times like this that I really miss Wings Palette. I hope it comes back after the Russo-Ukrainian war, or just leaves Russia altogether.
