The Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army has ordered a field test of GW Contrast Paints to see if units can be uniformed more quickly for the field; especially with the expansion of the forces of the Indian Service Army. Being the only Colonel in the vicinity of the CIC, he quickly pointed his finger and said," Mad Dawg, the project is yours. Since you have taken more than you fair share of hills, you will now be given more than your fair share of hills to take."

Last week I made some photos covering the royalist troops of the period until 1788 and found very detailed diagrams painted by Alfred de Marbot in 1854.

He depicted all infantry and cavalry regiments of the French army from 1779 to 1788 and as these may be of interest for the early republican armies I published the different captions of the diagrams in my uniform portal.

Not NapStein's fault, Neil, just the TMP "bug" rearing its ugly head, wings, stinger, etc. With all your time served here and the many wonderful threads started by you, it would be incredible if this was your first time being bit! Still… it's a definite bummer, but even more so for NapStein, who may never even learn that the thread he tried to start ended up melded together with yours… a bit like scientist and bug in the sci-fi/horror classic "THE FLY"!

On a far happier note, great work sharing your new painting efforts! I know I speak for many more than myself when I say it is much appreciated!
