It's getting trashed by almost every Tolkien fan out there. Not for the presumed raaacism of the fans, but because they took the source material and "updated" it to fit with modern sensibilities. So, hard pass for me, too. |

I had high hopes for this offering when it was first announced, but after seeing the previews…. not even a fleeting chance I will bother to watch it.
I am bored of and bored by new age "power girls" characters and injecting PC "race equity" into every story. I find it as objectionable as using Caucasian actors to portray Asian characters.
IF one creates a world and story of their own… I have absolutely no issues with it. Hijacking the creations of someone else to muck up with your own misguided lack of creativity and woke nonsense is just pure hackery. |
