Seems NATO is still pulling its weight … As is the USA who just sent billions to the Ukraine to continue to fight the imperialistic Russians.

Yes, Armand, it does look a little similar to ours, and handy that they can store it in a glass case!

Norway Pays To Survive

" In 2018 Norway openly complained about Russia deliberately jamming GPS signals in Norway. The jamming was done from a Russian military base in the Kola Peninsula on the Barents Sea, where Norway and Russia share a small border. The jamming took place in late 2018 as NATO held its largest training exercise since the Cold War ended in 1991. Russia denied any responsibility even though they are known to possess long-range jammers, for GPS and other signals. Norway said they had tracked the jammer to a specific location but when Russia refused to admit any involvement, Norway refused to explain how they tracked the signal because that would provide Russia with information on Norwegian electronic warfare or EW equipment that might be useful to them. The jamming incident encouraged Norway to add more electronic warfare spending to its defense budget.

Norway is working towards nearly doubling their defense spending through 2036, when annual defense spending will almost double its military budget and reach 3 percent of GDP by 2036. This is about $55 USD billion a year. As recently as 2015 the annual defense budget was only $5.8 USD billion.

This money will make possible the purchase of more warships and reconnaissance drones as well as the formation of more infantry brigades to protect areas threatened by Russian forces. Over the next decade the navy will receive five new 4,300-ton frigates, each carrying an ASW/Anti-Submarine Warfare helicopter. There will be ten smaller warships using a new standardized design and the ability to add or remove modular weapons and support systems. With these smaller ships the emphasis is on ASW warfare. The navy will also be receiving five new submarines and over a dozen auxiliary vessels for mine clearing and offshore patrol. The navy is replacing its force of elderly P-3 maritime patrol aircraft with a larger number of maritime patrol drones that can patrol more frequently the northern waters near the Russian Kola base area…"

FWIW, IMO, as I have said before. The result will be a brokered peace, most likely the US being the "honest" broker. And maybe some from NATO ?

Russia will be allowed/able to hold the Donbas, land bridge to Crimea, and Crimea. Which will be used sometime in the future 10-15 years from then. As jump off points to invade Ukraine again. Most likely Putin won't be in charge. Some other old school former Soviet leaders, etc. will replace
Putin.

Vlad's not immortal, unless the Russians have perfected cloning or some kind of life extending tech, etc.

Hopefully, the US, NATO and others in the UN. Will have to establish a buffer zone between Russia and Ukraine. Manned by other UN nations. Like in other places in the world, e.g. Cyprus, etc.

The Russians and PRC/CCP being on the UN P5, will fight this, of course.

The US and some others in NATO will rebuild Ukraine. Making billions of $. USD As many places there the battle damage is beyond major.

No one, e.g. Putin, etc. who committed war crimes, etc. will not be tried. The UN, ICC, etc. will turn a blind eye. Nothing will be done and these criminals with get away with all of it.

Note: as I have mentioned previously the Russians really have not gained much ground in the Ukraine. Since their invasion 2+ years ago. Just look at a map of this conflict. Gaining or holding[Crimea] those little chunks of land with the cost of hundreds of thousands+ dead, massive equipment losses, etc. Again, Putin et al will get away with it … all …

Putin's gamble added two more nations, Finland and Sweden to NATO. Which was exactually the opposite of the war was supposedly about. I.e. NATO expansion East.

Demonstrated what we already knew. Modern conventional warfare is very deadly and very expensive. Plus, a new weapon that has been added to inventory. The massive use of Drones, relatively inexpensive, fairly easy to mass produce, and can be very effective.

As always with the advancing of high-tech. Creating weapons that tactics, techniques, etc. have to be adapted to.

Nearly half of Danes see United States as bigger threat than North Korea and Iran and 78% oppose Greenland sale

The poll of just over 1,000 people in Denmark, conducted between 15 and 22 January, found that 46% considered the US to be either "a very big threat" or "a fairly big threat" to Denmark.

This is higher than the number who said they considered North Korea or Iran a threat – of which 44% and 40% did respectively. But the threat of Russia remains considerably higher; 86% of respondents said they considered Moscow a threat.
