So I've just ordered from the Flag Dude some militia flags. Two will be the Gadsden flag, but with the yellow background color replaced by light blue and by green.

The other two will be a large magnolia flower on a white field, with a scroll underneath for the SC county whose militia it is. Camden District and 2nd Spartanburg Regiment, which were both part of Sumter's command.

I purchased several of the lovely militia command packs from Brigade, and now have what they will carry.

Yes. As I have mentioned before, Virginia's militia law required each company to have a standard, with no further specifications as to size or design. That would have been many hundreds of flags, as Va had 50,000 militia. I suspect most captains asked their wife and her sewing circle to come up with something.
