I put together some bases to better define built up areas on my tabletop. I am pleased with the result. The buildings can be removed if I want to use them as stand-alone pieces. link

Thinking similar. I've been "driving" around Streetview looking for inspirations. |

I use General de Brigade rules also. Just another alternative for your consideration. Here what I came up with for my Built Up Areas (BUA). I've scratch built a series of buildings, sheds, fences, and such, into what I call a Russian village using matchsticks. I have used these for both small and large BUAs. In one of my fictional 15mm games the village saw almost continuous fighting throughout the battle. Of course with separate buildings, I can rearrange my BUAs.
Another BUA I have is a farmstead made from matchsticks and toothpicks. This is a fixed feature that I've had for well over 20 years and it has graced numerous of my little battlefields, sometimes seeing no action and other times heavy.
Thanks for looking. God bless, John T. |
