i have been working away in my spare moments on teh Grodno Hussars and i guess they will form a template for all the russian hussars, though i have to make some versions with Lances also yet

In the meantime this is a sample of some of what i have made, i guess if anyone is interested and they can see how these paper flats/2.5 figs work for them

They look good.
I prefer the grass green (back) ground. No white to remove.

Have fun.

thanks -i am doing some different backgrounds for different units, (none white though) other shades of green, or blue or some other sky hue – this i am thinking may help with making the pieces more distinct – or if it works better they might just be varieties of green. – it can depend on the colour of the units also and what will contrast enough with them, because i found for 6mm scale can make some details less discernable than others

Like the green, but then do old school myself so my game board and stands are green.
Really like where your going with this.

i have gotten around to printing out and putting together some of the Grodno set i made – i think they are looking alright, the blocks are definitely on track.
