After the French acquisition of Tunis in 1881, Italian aspirations regarding Tripoli were generally recognized by the Great Powers but tensions between the two countries eventually led to armed conflict in North Africa when Italy began a naval blockade of Tunis. In May of 1901, Italian battleships and cruisers meet their French counterparts in the Gulf of Tunis and the battle begins…
Friday, 22 July 1930 – 0030 Scarborough Raid: Main Fleet Action

The British Admiralty learned of plans for a German battlecruiser raid on Scarborough, Hartlepool and Whitby. Jellicoe protested splitting his fleet but sent four battlecruisers and six dreadnoughts as ordered incorrectly believing that the dreadnoughts of the High Seas Fleet would not be involved. Good scouting informed Admiral Ingenohl of his opportunity to defeat part of the British fleet and he ordered his two squadrons of 14 dreadnoughts to close for action and spring the trap.
Saturday, 23 July 1400 – 1800 Frankendorski: A Counterfactual of The Classic Naval Battle

As CINC of the IJN 5th Fleet, Vice Admiral Hosogaya is tasked with supporting the tenuous hold on the Komandorski Islands with additional units temporarily assigned to his command to ensure success: the battleships KONGO and HARUNA. After sharing his analysis of these actions with USPACFLT, Rear Admiral Charles H. "Soc(rates)" McMorris' Task Group 16.6 is reinforced with PENNSYLVANIA and additional cruisers. The ensuing struggle will determine the future of IJN presence there as well as the Aleutians Islands chain.
