Having trouble finding figures for Ayyubid Mamlukes of 3rd Crusade (28mm). As a caveat, I am a 100% soloist, so "pretty close" is usually good enough for me. I have a unit of Ghulams from Old Glory & the 2 new boxes of Arab cavalry from Gripping beast (the latter two are not assembled yet). Any suggestions? (including using the figures I already have) |

I used the Old Glory Ghulams, but I did some conversion work on them adding plumes or feathers to some of the helmets. I also used some the Old Glory Asiatic Steppe Heavy Noble cavalry figures. I took some of the Gripping Beast Arab heavy cavalry figures and swopped heads from the Fireforge Russian Heavy infantry box. They looked really good! Also Perry Muslim Crusades line are really good figures for this period as well. |

I did the same as Perris0707: Used GB Arab Heavy Cavalry and swapped Fireforge Russian heads. I have two units like this. The third one, I still have without heads, but I plan on using Byzantine heads from Fireforge. I also used some barded horses from the GB Gothic Nobles box. Cheeers, Dan |
