But nice to see some grain growing up around it! No! With my professional hat on high concentrations of some metals can really screw up plant growth not to mention potential residual 'liquids'. While a lot of Ukrainian farmers probably have more immediate concerns having decomposing and corroding trash like this all over your fields could be a problem long term. Not to mention any left over 'explody' bits. |

You are right ROU, and food shortages may trump this concern for now. There could be several different liquids containing various lubricants, coolants, etc. penetrating this bit of farmland, very nasty. And there are thousands of tanks, various other wrecks etc. sitting around by now. Perhaps this chopper was accidently set to "low spin" at a critical moment. |
