We have had a very busy, game filled start to 2022 and with two meetings a month it is not possible to feature all the games we have played on the blog together with a full AAR.

To help remedy the situation we have a post covering some of the other games played during this time which I think illustrates, the quality and variety of games and historical themes (mainly) that we like to play and an invitation to those looking to get involved with club that encourages historical wargaming.

Even if I love living in Genoa (Italy) sometimes I wish I could live in UK for being able to attend a Club such yours where you can play whatever you like. I must say that our Local Club Garibaldi is not bad at all. We are 20 people we meet once a week in the evening and sometimes during the day amongst the retired members and we play many games and periods however it's very difficult to find new members and being spoiled with choice.
That is to congratulate with you guys. Well done.

Hi Marco,
What a lovely part of the world to live in.I'm very much looking forward to spending a week visiting Rome at the end of May but sadly I have not yet been to Genoa yet, but it is on my list.

The UK is indeed blessed with a multitude of clubs across the country which means that most folks pretty much anywhere can find other like-minds close by to get together with to enjoy the hobby and living here it is easy to take for granted when appreciating the scene is not quite the same elsewhere.

The positive side suggests that that is changing in many parts of the world as the hobby grows and I have travelled to shows in Belgium and see many of our European friends travelling to Salute. The US show scene is vibrant and I have plans to do one of the big Cons there sometime, and I hope to visit the Christchurch Wargames club in New Zealand later this year.

I hope that forums like this, the hobby press and the many blogs and other cyberspaces will only speed the process up and with more disposable time, more folks will want to play historical games and a vibrant club scene is a great way to facilitate that.

Thank you for your comment and I wish you good gaming. If you ever visit Devon and fancy a game, you know where we are.

Cheers
JJ

Hi JJ,
thank you for your comments. Actually Social Networks help a lot to feel closer to people involved in hobbies not too popular in some part of the world.
We attended several time Salute in London and it was fantastic to see so many people and manufacturers all together. We also attended Crisis and it was very nice too.
Thank you for your invitation:-)
If you happen to come to Italy and in Genoa we will be happy to meet you and show what we do. Actually we play more or less the same rules.
Good gaming.
Marco
