Does your canine get in the way of your miniature wargaming activities?

No, she is a wonderful ambassador of good cheer. Everyone loved her, she easily charmed them into petting her; there were smiles and laughter all around her. Cheers!

I don't have dog. But my cat defiantly is on a mission to sabotage my hobby.

Our dog has always ensured I had a life outside my hobby. All of them have loved their walks and forced me to get up from the chair and get exercise.

My late wife use to say "Dogs are the best invention". Yes they interfere but as rustymusket said, they get me up and moving. H

No he doesn't, he checks on what I'm doing then takes a nap.

joeltks06 May 2022 7:18 a.m. PST

Yes; but not nearly as much as work.

Grelber06 May 2022 9:07 a.m. PST

Not really, no. He comes up to check on me from time to time, so I stop painting and give him some affection.

When my current dog was young he chewed up some minis. So yes!

Mine used to like to paint. He liked doing horses, but could never get the saddles right…

When I had dogs, none of them ever got in the way. They would check on me, of course, and maybe put a head on my lap for a scratch behind the ear, but that's not in the way at all.

Mine loves to greet all my friends as they arrive for the wargame but his feet are too cold on the cement floor of the basement and he soon goes back upstairs to sleep on the sofa.

Get in the way, never!

We don't game a lot at my house. I have hosted a few in my garage and then my 13-year-old Aussie Rusty is interested in the the people. 8 year old Lola is mostly barky, and afraid of newcomers so she's a bit of a pain.

Aside from that, if I'm in my den painting too long, Rusty will come and get me and let me know it's time for him to get attention. He's worth the break.
