Please see link for a re-fight of Rynn's World Farm – the sample scenario from Rogue Trader, the original edition of Warhammer 40000, featuring a patrol of Orks battling a contingent of Crimson Fists Space Marines, this time done in 6mm with Vanguard miniatures.

Hi all. Does anyone know where to find 28mm Bersaglieri motorcycle miniatures for World War II gaming in North Africa? Are there any manufacturers that make these?

I believe that you can fire at nearly unlimited range in Rogue Trader, but you only hit in a 6bor something like that. So not very effective fire from the hill, but possible to supply some cover.

I don't think that is right (long range is a maximum limit in this edition), although very happy to be corrected on this.

Optional rule on page 69 is what I was thinking of. 10x or 5x normal range, roll a 6, then make a normal hit roll. STR -1.

Got you, I had forgotten about that optional rule. You are right, I should have probably used it given the size of the board in relation to the ground scale, although it almost certainly wouldn't have made much difference. Perhaps the marines behind the farmstead walls might have lost a person.

It really isn't. Epic is Battletech with Space Marines and Orks…

I remember that battle in the back of the RT book.

Well having played wargames for decades. Started with Epic in '90 with SM1. old fart We play Epic as Sci-fi. And modified and added to the rules to reflect that. 40K is Sci-fantasy, i.e. LoTR in the far future.

Was not a fan of the BT rules, however, BT is hard core sci-fi. That is the way we play "Epic" …

Very good! I also like Vanguard Miniatures for their incredible detail and variety of miniatures.
