There is the game group in Hamilton. I am originally from the Burlington area (4 decades ago), and play lots of 6mm periods. I will be attending Hamilton this Friday if you want to meet up. |

Burf I am looking for opponents in order to get together a few times a year (2 to 4) either your place or mine or alternate. I hope to find enough players, for a variety of games, to have a get together once or twice a month. I am north of Newmarket but willing to travel. |

Well didn't see anyone unfamiliar there and asked those in charge to send anyone unfamiliar my way so I guess you didn't make it. |

We have a group of friends that meet at each others homes to game. We all live in the Burlington/ Hamilton area. In the past we were members of the Burlington wargames club (40 years ago) and M.I.G.S. in Hamilton for many years. Some of our group still attend Boardsword gaming nights as well. We haven't met for a while due to the pandemic but hopefully things will start to return to normal at some point. If your interested drop me an email at DillonJN@hotmail.com and we can chat. Regards! Joe |

Hey Canuck! That was when I was in the area. I moved to Hamilton to go to Mac and moved to Burlington a year later for about a decade. Met at the art gallery when not at people's homes. What sort of games/rules are common with your group? |
Canuck64 | 01 May 2022 8:03 a.m. PST |
Hi Stephen, We probably knew many of the same people back then. Some are still members of our group. We cover alot of different era's. Napoleonic in both 28mm ,15/18mm. Rules used depend on whose playing. We use General d'armee, Sharpe's practice, Lasalle and others. WW2, we use bolt action mainly, but others can be used. We have Black powder for anything ranging from thirty years war to colonial. The sword and the flame, The man who would be King, 40k,LOTR, the options are endless. I have armies for Napoleonic, ECW,AWI,Sikh wars,Indian mutiny, ACW,Sudan,NWF,WW2, and others. We have players that collect all sotrs of other periods covering most periods in some form or another. Chances are someone in the group will play or have a common interest in whatever you might be building. Tell me what you game most and I can probably find someone who games that period. Just let me know. Cheers! Joe |

Canuck Sorry for the delay. Just life. Yes we may even recognize each other and say "hey I know you!". I game mostly 6mm in any period from RCW to sci fi. Still checking out rules and willing to give most a try whether you familiar with them or wanting to try them. I also game skirmish (post WWII to sci fi in 15mm). Also board and wargames at all levels. |
