Hey guys, the Richmond Open is a new convention taking place at the Richmond Convention Center, Richmond VA, on Memorial Day weekend. If you'd like to run a game, or see what games are planned, please follow the link below. link There is also a Facebook page called Historical Gaming at Richmond Open where you can ask questions, chat up the admins, or connect with other gamers about the con. Please join us for this inaugural event! |

I guess I understand why conventions are scheduled for holiday weekends, there is the hope that as folks have the extra time off it will attract a larger audience. But for me, and probably others it's the exact opposite. Holiday weekends are for time spent with family and therefore prevents me from attending. |

There's still time to sign up for the con, and more historical game masters are always welcome! When you go to the website Richmondopen.com, don't be put off by the list of non-historical events…that's how those guys list their games. There will be plenty of room for open gaming and lots of interest in historicals. If you're close enough for a day trip, bring the family and let them hit the tourist stuff while you hang out at the Richmond Convention Center. There's plenty to do here in central VA! |
