Back in the day, you just painted your British infantry white and, poof, they were Italians.

Dear 79th PA .. the European colonial troops looked all very similiar. But "aguzza lo sguardo" (Italian game) and you'll find the differences that make the love for uniformology.

I forgot; different collar!!!
so no "puff" but 9 different elements

At 1/72 you'd have to look really close to see those differences. I firmly believe in the 3 foot rule.

Oh, I understand the uniform differences. I also painted Brits as Belgians.

Currently working on my Italains. In 15mm diffferences not that apparent. I use Tin Soldier Italians, askari and Abyssinians.

Murvihill me too. . but to make huge diorama/wargame…. you need to stay little..

oldjarhead27 Apr 2022 1:02 p.m. PST

I have to admit that I have used my khaki uniformed Brits in sun helmets for Mexicans, US Marines and German marines; I suppose Italians will be next!
