As Russian forces focus on seizing Ukraine's Donbas, the United States has begun rushing 90 howitzers—the famed 155mm artillery guns used by the U.S. Army and Marine Corps—to help repel the invaders in the flat, largely rural region. But how much will they help?

IMO 90 155s with a 20 mile range. That could certainly make a difference if used properly with combined arms doctrine, etc.

I'd say the possibility of the US/NATO going into the Ukraine to fight the Russians is very, very, small.

Not unless Putin does something very stupid.

We really can't read Putin's mind. Intel knows somewhat how he thinks, predilection, his mistress[a former Olympic gymnast], etc.,etc. But for certain Putin misread, was not informed properly etc., about the invasion of Ukraine. And how Ukraine, the US/NATO, etc. would react. He has painted himself in a corner. As we know a wounded cornered animal can be very dangerous.

However, he many not want to die in a Nuclear exchange, nor he wants his mistress ? If he's dead and or she is dead … "playtime is over". Men have made good or bad decisions before based on less …

It seems the US, UK and I think Germany are all sending 155 howitzers to Ukraine. And now Poland may be giving them perhaps as many as 300 T72 tanks.

My hope is that Ukraine is fully liberated before peace is declared, including getting Crimea back.

Naked aggression of this kind should not stand.

There is absolutely No Way that Ukraine would be able to take back Crimea! No 'Western' Naval domination , Forces and Turkish wishes.
THAT tide has turned :( Long ago)!
Just hope that Russians cannot cut off Ukraine from Black Sea.

Anything going to Ukraine is good… but getting stuff there will be difficult… Russians have eventually recognised 'supply lines'.
