A bit of a nostalgia trip. I dug out some old school Golden Heroes miniatures from 1984 and gave them a bit of a refresh. They were never the greatest sculpts, but I still like 'em.

We played Golden Heroes a lot in the pre-Games Workshop version (it was originally in a large booklet form – like a really thick A5 fanzine size).

We carried on with it for a couple of years I guess even after the GW version, which seemed to add a lot of unnecessary complexity to what had been a really clean fun system.

Nice to see the figures again!

I played the pre-GW version of Golden Heroes a lot as well – after playing with Simon Burley at a STABCON in Manchester. Never had the official figures and never bought the GW version. Still have the old rules.
