We are in the throws of trialling some rulesets for AWI, Steve was keen to trial these and they worked really well. Full game report and lots of pictures on the blog here: link |

Great looking figures. Does it matter how many figures are on a base? What is the nominal base/figure to men ratio? |

Our favourite rules for the period. Building 10mm Pendraken armies and working our way through the scenario book. See discussions here TMP link Keep posting your AARs please Regards |

Thanks very much guys thats really useful, I think the rules are 50 men to 1 base but we have used around 40. I dont think it matters too much. |

Hi Thanks for excellent write up and thoughts on the rules. I'm just getting into AWI and the 'Live Free or Die' rules and would be very interested in any 'house' rules you come up with. Thanks again. Paul |

Thanks Paul, we game in 28mm and the rules are for 15mm so the only changes so far have been to double all movement and ranges. We played around with skirmishers as line bases had 4 figures and skirmishers 2 but s the base size itself is similar we reverted to a base is a base. Early days just played the two games so far, will share any amends as we go along. |
