Hmmm 🤔
1) they will continue to deal with Putin. Odd choice for a country dependent on Western countries for so much of their industry, technology and employment.
2) Did he really tell Indians to NOT assimilate into the countries they move to? That is never a good thing for the country or the individual. Look at the history of countries with large populations of unassimilated ethnic groups.

India intends to buy cheap oil no matter the consequences.

We can assume weapons too? Although how much Russia could spare right now is very questionable. That, though makes for a very dependent client state. Also makes me Suspicious of how much you can trust the country with your financial technology and processing (before I got out, they were handling most credit card processing. My company was sharing their medical technology with them) and any other technology.

A friend of mine whose whole group are Indian contractors, wrote me this about this article:

"I had not heard of conflicts on the Indian/China border.

Yes, talking with the Indian guys at work – India relies a lot on Russian oil and their economy grinds to a halt without it. India has become very nationalist over the past 2 decades, they rely on a ton of other countries for raw materials and supplies, yet take a stance of India first. Funny, most of India likes Trump for the same reason. They had no issues with his America first policy.

Don't assimilate is how I read that too, most of the India folks I work with don't follow this philosophy, they cant wait to get their green card and US citizenship. This is a horrible message and you are right, the history behind this message is not good……"

Every "leader" should put their country first.

Those that do NOT are not real "leaders".

Odd choice for a country dependent on Western countries for so much of their industry, technology and employment.

And those countries that rely on India for their workers and ability to hire cheap, trained, educated workers should be taking heed of this message from India. I know the company I work at would be in quite a world of poo if suddenly India became unavailable, there's no way they could quickly transition back to the US. India is going to look out for India, shocking to us in the US.

Striker. Agree our companies have become too dependent on Indian technology people and cheap Chinese labor for industry.., much to the detriment of the US.
The shortsightedness of our private sector and even our governmental sector, trading cheap labor for security is abysmal. Almost as bad as the slaveholders of the South. We know how the later ended. My fear is the former is going along the same path. China has advanced decades in a short time, using our money, new factories and stolen technology.

The US needs to look out for the US. But I fear it may be too late.

China has it's own problems. Population is old and growing older fast.

With China having 20% of the world's population, they can lose massive numbers and it will have little effect. And Xi/the CCP knows it.
