What type of hazard do you like to see humans negotiating in an Apocalyptic Movie setting? -Post nuke debris, fires & radiation.
-Zombie/ Rage virus threat.
-Other Pandemic outbreak (military deployed or organic)..
-Conventional foreign military invasion.
-Alien invasion.
-Rising sea levels threat.
-Loss of drinking water or Global Warming scenario.
-Massive erosion due to Comet or Volcano.
-Earthquake + Tsunami.
-Solar Flares induced gamma ray radiation.
-EMP detonations in your countries atmosphere.
-A combination of the above.

I guess it depends on the needs of the game/movie. Slow, ever-present and persistent threats (zombies, global warming, a comet expected next year, radioactive areas, etc) let you think about solutions. Urgent threats (volcano, alien invasion, rage-like virus, etc) focus more on quick reactions and pre-threat preparedness. That being said, I like…
