Those ducted fan, single man, aerial speeder bikes seem a lot more practical to me, and are not hindered by terrain and soft ground.

Of course, I suspect they're probably a bit loud, but no more so than many other vehicles.

My guess is they are a lot less expensive too, but probably more so than your typical, small drone.
