Did you know?

"Bad news from Alliance Games Distributors regarding The Army Painter Speedpaints preorders. The pallets of paint were destroyed in a truck accident enroute to their warehouse. The accident and time to reship means that their paints will be in short supply and speedpaints delayed for 40 to 60 days. We're looking at an revised release somewhere between May 9th and May 22nd. Speedpaints Mega Set may take even longer to be released as their statement indicates it is not part of the special restock shipment. Our sincerest apologies for this delay.

The original statement from Alliance Game Distributors found on their Facebook page.

"The Army Painter Shipment to Midwest Lost in Accident:

We regret to inform you that during transport of restock items for the new Warpaints Air and Speedpaint rack, the truck bound for Alliance Midwest, Fort Wayne was involved in an accident and the pallets destroyed. This affects Alliance Game Distributors ability to restock single paints (Warpaints Air, Speedpaint, Warpaints Color Metallic, and 100ml Airbrush Primer/ Varnish/Cleaner) as well as Speedpaint Mega Set.We have packed a new restock and booked for sea shipment. The single paints will be 40-60 days out, while Speedpaint Mega Set is limited to current inventory and restock shipped on other shipments."

Must have been a very colorful wreck, hopefully no one was injured.

I had some individual bottles preordered from CMO. They pushed the order out to 22 May!

I needed the paints so I ordered directly from Army Painter in Denmark, paying the $18 USD shipping. Lo and behold a week after my order I get a box in the mail, not from Denmark but from Alliance in Indiana!! Bleeped text! 5 bottles of paint should not cost that much to ship within the US (CMO offers free shipping on $25 USD). Alliance did charge an undisclosed "picking fee".

If it was undisclosed, contest it, either with them or your credit card issuer

Almost spent the money on a pre-order super-set, to see if it could really improve my army speed painting (quality, not time). Glad I decided not to. Best of luck to everyone involved. Cheers!
