Any word on when we can expect this to be published?

Cheers,
Dave

Maybe after they deliver TSATF 40th to my cold dead hands. Yes, at this point I think I deserve to take it with me. H

latest from Lori Brom on TSATF 40:

THE DELAY WITH OUR RELEASING TSATF40 IS NOT FINANCIAL; it's the fact that for the last 2 years our apartment building was up for sale and we had people walking through constantly. It sold on December 17, 2021 and since then there has been a daily concern on our part (and that of the other tenant) of the new landlord's plans. We came to an agreement on Friday April 1 regarding our lease, and while it's temporary, it will settle the turmoil a bit. This coupled with my firm's relocation to a newly purchased office building and all the reshuffling, setting up in a new space, has caused us to put "life" ahead of "hobby". and is the main reason TSATF40 is still in a holding pattern. Please know that work is being done by us but I can't give a definite release date. As I said previously, if this is not acceptable to you, we will of course refund your purchase price.

dave8365…

Are you saying there is supposed to be a new TSATF-related rules or reference book called "Colonial Campaigns: 2nd Afghan War 1879" somewhere in the publication pipeline?!?!

That would be particularly intriguing seeing as how the Second Afghan War lasted from 1878 to 1880… but aside from such picky details, this news straight up blows my mind, since I'm a longstanding customer of theirs but have never heard of any "Colonial Campaigns" books or reference materials of any kind being published by Sergeants 3.

Hmmm. Maybe Dave 8365's original post here was in reference to a reference book in the works from some other company, as he did not mention Sergeants 3 by name… but he did only post his question here on the TSATF board, so… beats me.

dave8365… as a wargamer with a lifelong obsession over the 2nd Afghan War, l would very much appreciate hearing more about this title you seem to know is meant to be published some time in the near future, and my sincere thanks in advance for any further info you can provide on it!

What Ho, Chaps!

I was referring to the scenario books "Colonial Campaigns" published by Skirmish Campaigns. These are the fellows who have published the Zulu and Sudan scenario books. On their website, they reference upcoming titles, which include Afghanistan 1879.

I was not referring to Sergeants 3.

M.Guru – I have very much enjoyed your website. I live in LA myself, and would be delighted to meet with you for a game at some point. Feel free to drop me a note at dave8365 at gmail dot com if you would like to chat.

Cheers,
Dave

And the reason I posted this here rather than in the other one was because the scenario books are written for TSATF (adaptable for other games).

Cheers,
Dave

I was not aware of the Colonial Campaigns 2nd Afghan War scenario book, but it is good news and I will definitely buy one when it becomes available. I am a big fan of the series and own several of the titles. I would also like to put in a plug for the Colonial Conflicts Indian Mutiny scenario book, published by On Military Matters. There are 2 versions, the first designed to use TSATF and the second designed to use TMWWBK rules. A while back I talked to two of the authors of the Colonial Campaigns books and asked whether they would consider adapting their earlier books for TMWWBK, but they felt the effort would not be worth it.
