After a long hiatus, I've finally painted a few more miniatures. They are 40mm metal figures from a New Zealand supplier, Triguard Miniatures.

On a whim, I bought two sets of these figures to try them out. I chose two of my favourite uniforms of the 18th century: the Gardes Françaises and some British grenadiers.

Very nice.

I love Triguard. I have a ton of the AWI range and starting on the FIW range. Very nice and they work very well with AWI Front Rank and Sash & Sabre.

Just looked through your blog. Love the art especially the Natone tugboat. Wow, fantastic, the reflections are worth the price of admission.

Oh and don't do the old toy soldier painting. It is a terrible look especially when as you've proven you paint very well.

I really enjoy the Triguard figures and not just because I used to carry them in the States. I have a large collection of the French and Indian War figures, 1,157 figures to be exact. They are so much fun to paint up and play with. loads of poses and head variants to boot!I just started painting up their Spanish to use in the Islands for what if games.

I don't have a problem with the heads. I just file down anything that may get in the way and then use Super Glue Gel to glue whatever needs gluing.I have gamed with them, along with many friends, dozens of times over the years and nothing has come unglued.
