I can see how these drawings influenced the artwork for the first D&D books. Very cool. One of my favorite books I bought in 1981 was a 1st edition The Atlas of Middle-Earth. One of the few remaining books in my collection from my misspent young adulthood. Thanks for posting this. I love his illustrations and maps. A talented Renaissance man. |
