Hi, I'm a long time reader, first time poster.

If you can take the time please could you give me any recommendations for rulesets that cover the following parameters?:

-individual men represented
-M16A2 and AKM differentiated (no generic "assault rifle" category)
-M16A2 differentiated from M16A1
-M60E3 differentiated from M60 (longshot)
-profiles for 1980s era units
-profiles for 1980s vehicles including US Marine AAVP-7A1s
-AT weapon data
-Reactive armor rules
-chit pull or card draw turn system preferred.

The only way I can think of getting this set is to cobble together a frankenstein system from a number of different systems. But is there a system that covers most/all of the above? That would be cool. Thank you.

Firefight perhaps for the man-to-man stuff, though I can't recall if they differentiate between the assault rifles and MGs.

Not sure on the vehicle stats and rules.

Firefight has 3 categories of Assault Rifle; the M16A2 probably falls into a different category from the AKM, but can't find my copy at the moment. Not sure that I even know of an RPG which differentiates between an M16A1 and A2…Phoenix Command maybe . Can't believe that any ruleset would bother differentiating between an M60 and M60E3.

I think Firefight does cover the rest of those bases though. Firepower might, although can't remember if it has reactive armour rules…
