Seeing a translation of the full letter would be interesting.

However, Standing Bear's account of the Little Big Horn fight has already been published. His son, Chief Luther Standing Bear wrote My People The Sioux which was published in 1928 by Houghton Mifflin. It has a brief account of the battle.

The book has been reprinted a couple of times by the University of Nebraska Press. It's a pretty good book, but nothing earth shaking about the battle. Maybe the letter has more.
