Happy List Building!

Is it free because they consider it obsolete?

Kuznetsov01 Apr 2022 11:06 a.m. PST

Possibly, but that's still a gain for anyone that prefers V3.

Agreed. Good for those who didn't want to go to the next edition.

This is the old version? Ok, I guess the price is right as it is worthless now.

A free V4 would be something!

I think they went to V4 in 2017. Not everyone made the jump, and some people got so disgusted that they dumped the system and/or their figures.

Yeah, as someone who never made the leap this is a nice gesture from them.

Col Piron03 Apr 2022 1:58 a.m. PST

You can get all/most V3 lists on fowlists blogspot for free .grin

as it is worthless now.

Hardly. I just played a V3 game, and getting new players in is far easier if the rules (and lists) are available. The main investment are the lists anyway, and with their move away from complex to simplyfied units an almost complete collection of army lists and many of the more fun bases in units would have become obsolete. I just like my loaders, second in command, radio or transport bases.

It looks like they're missing a few things. Desperate Measures, Main Rule Book at least. I wish I could find Das Book in digital.

Alphanor21 Apr 2022 12:25 p.m. PST

How do you actually access these? When I use the second link to google drive, it says "you do not have permission to access this". I have a password for FOW digital, but can't find any way to get to the google drive from their site. Any suggestions?

Alphanor22 Apr 2022 1:32 p.m. PST

Never mind; it works now. Must have been google drive sulking yesterday.

I can't wait for the last of V4 books to drop so they can immediately announce a V5 that invalidates them all.

They have basically already done that with some V4 MW books .huh?
