Hi – i am just attempting to create some of the my own 6mm scale paper artillery and want to get the size right – could someone tell me exactly what height and length a 6mm scale cannon limber is – just the carriage with the cannon attached,

If I have the model correct and at 18mm, 1/3 of it puts gun and limber (rear horses are within limber pole) at 3 inches

So 1 1/2 at 6mm?

okay i dont know if this measures up right, but i was basing it in the end more on teh size of the human figures – these are my paper 6mm 4horse 6pounder limbered and caisson.

It has to be a jpeg, I use Postimage.

What I do is use 4 horses with limber for light artillery battery, 6 for heavy artillery Battery. My limber stand with 2 gun stand on tail stands for my whole battery on the move, once unlimbered the rest of guns come on table and limber only stand (Have Cassions as well to do same).
One thing to toss in a wrench in this is the amount of horses can be a wide range. Advise get it close as except for taking up room doesn't matter too much.
Looks like your stand is close, as say could be 4 horses or if muddy that day 8 horses.

I have a similar plan to use 6 six horses for heavy artillery ( 12 pounder ) and will lengthen the limber and tube a little bit

Is there any practical way to make foot artillery different to horse arty visually?

Did foot artillery and horse artillery both have both light and heavy cannon?

Maybe I can do another one for howitzers too?

It seems what you need is historical dimensions, rather than how much space players' models take up.

In which case the attachment here can help. See section 2.4

Also, the following may provide what you need as far as drawings.
