I'm wondering if per chance, someone has a catalogue or pictures and names of the old 15mm strip Minifigs, primarily the Ancients.

These would be 1st generation and the catalogue would likely date from 1974-1979? The strips had the code on the tab at the end of the strip which was naturally discarded, usually A for Ancients I think and then numbers.

I have a pile of different figures, I have been able to ID most, but others defeat me. One has 'A131' on the base which is unusual but my Google 'skills' fail me on that. I have an idea what it is but I like to be sure. There are another heap of different ones that would like names as well.

I know that some sites (e.g. Battlegames) have the 2nd generation catalogue which is when the figures were individuals and usually Z codes. I'd love to find the preceding catalogue or similar to identify what I have.

A long shot, I know, but any assistance gratefully received. If I can't find one I might try photographing them all and going down that path.

cheers
Jon.

(sheet 12 on the link and very last picture if anyone else has a look)

As some of the figures I have are not listed then there must be another one out there; I'm thinking from 1977-1979 perhaps because I know I bought some then which I still have, plus others I've found over the years with the clipped bases…

One had the Minifig 2nd that I have lots of in Napoleonic figures, so 1980? Maybe 79

I think you are right; it would be prior to 1980.
