Does anyone make printable scenery that would simulate the view of the countryside from an aerial point of view? I've seen city layouts, dungeon schemes, and some countryside features, but they all seem to be intended for using miniatures directly on them, so the ground scale is accurate for the size miniatures intended. What I'm thinking of is a view from higher, showing countryside features similar to the playing boards in games like Richtofen's War, with tiny farms, fields, towns, etc. Maybe a scale of 1/2400 or 1/5000? They could be printed out and used as a table cover for WWI or WWII air games. Thanks, Tom |

There are companies that make gaming mats for WW1 aerial games including over the trenches. Likewise WW2 over fields and over the Channel. If you want to print stuff yourself maybe try some images from boardgames? I have various boardgames and scanned one, Flight Leader, and printed it out bigger for use with Miniatures. It was perfect for Vietnam. If not look on Boardgamegeek and see if anything there can inspire? Hope this helps, B |
