Great ideas – I am reminded of Episode 6 of Firefly ("Our Mrs Reynolds") when the Serenity is on a collision course to a deep space facility that is essentially a "chop shop" |

Nice. You get a sort of moral equivalent in old westerns--small forts, or waystations for the stagecoach. So consider "wiped out by hostiles"--possibly as a sub-set of "everyone's dead"--and "we can't just LEAVE her here" in which someone gets added to the party. Might be a way to add a PC to the group: might also be the group has just invited a shambleu to accompany them, but doesn't know it yet. Or "five parsecs to next station" where the party is subject to extortion for fuel or parts. |

Hmm. Possibly covered by "Eat, Get Gas" but there's also "I've Got a Secret," in which the waystation engages in seriously evil smuggling/black marketeering/receiving stolen goods. Good parties can't let this continue. Neutral parties unfortunately have seen too much. Relates to "Bates' California Motel" in which people no one is expected to look for are sold as parts to the thumbrunners. (It's a rough life being a pure-blood Terran and an orphan. Think John Eric Stark and Morgan Chane.) |

Stark I know but Morgan Chane I do not. Any notes on him? |
