A friend is looking at acquiring a bunch of Russians and Germans for this scale, presently seems to have a bunch of Airfix soft plastic infantry.

What are some good sources for infantry support weapons, figs, etc, that would go with those? They are always a bit "realistic" in their proportions, so tend to have less bulk.

He looked at a few places and isnt' finding what he wanted.
Thanks!

Tell him to go here:

plasticsoldierreview.com

Or, by sources, do you mean retailers instead of manufacturers?

AB or Early War Miniatures are my first stops.

Plastic Soldier Company make both German and Russian support weapons packs. Nice slim plastic figures.

Our club (Illinois, US) has quite a few 20mm WWII gamers. We have, until a year ago, ordered regularly from Europe and from Eureka USA for AB Figures. Overseas ordering has gotten so difficult we've found ourselves devleoping club and personal relationships and selling/swapping more and more amongst those relationships.

If you are US-based, I know that currently there are members here, and connections elsewhere, who have 20mm WWII to sell/swap. Post your email here and I'll reach out to you to discuss.

There also seem to be a growing number of commercially avialable 3D printed options in the US (and UK).

Your friend might find some of these posts useful for seeing some of what's available in 20mm:

Germans are here Second World War German Heer in 20mm

Russians are here Second World War Russian Infantry in 20mm

SHQ has a huge range which mixes well with plastics, and includes all support weapons

Small Military Miniatures on e-bay has a good selection of 20mm figures. I've ordered from them many times without any problems.

I have a bunch of the 20mm Sgt Major Miniatures Russians and Germans that I can part with. The Germans are from their Kharkov range, and are in winter gear (I sue them for Bulge scenarios, too)< Russians are more generic. PM or email at pzivh_AT_hotmail_DOT_com.

I have simply piles of stuff (1000+) kits that I would happily part with at a very small cost. Have your friend email me at daftrica 89 @ yahoo. Have him give me a short list of what he is looking for. If you are anywhere near Detroit we could save on shipping and handoff in person
