It is hubris indeed to imagine that WE do not have our own blind spots, as great or greater. Plus I wonder if it is in us, as humans, to care about everything? Are there places in the world as violent as the Ukraine? of course; can I name them? Nope, not really. I think we pick, consciously or unconsciously, which causes we will defend, and ignore the rest. Try to be charitable to those who pick differently than you do. |
