I find people will send me (almost) any sort of casting I pay for.

If you're a professional painter, I'd suggest that SF gaming seems to be especially blessed with proprietary units and associated uniforms, scale creep and "no longer supported" armies. It would be some good questions for the Great Wargaming Survey, but I bet that, compared with historicals and even fantasy, SF armies are built quicker and more to a formula--and discarded faster when the rules go out of production or the next movie tanks.

More SF RPGs might help.

Nice, kinda looks like a gothic version of a certain character in the Bad Batch…at least to me!

Thanks.

I am thinking that historical and fantasy have more older players, so people with less time, less eyesight and more money to pay someone else to do it.

I think the bigger comps push painting your own very hard, selling paints and having painting guides. Sucking kids into "their" hobby (buying stuff).

Some of the most popular historical rules, for example, typically offer little to nothing in painting advice. On the other hand, the most popular sci fi certainly does!

Also with Sci fi, your usually in a particular area, or franchise. Whereas most fantasy is orcs and goblins and elves, more generic. I don't think there is a generic sci fi, in the same way. So sci fi is a little less impulse, flight of fancy, purchase and more a definite consideration that you probably plan in advance to paint??

I'm sure I'm somewhere near the mark?

Maybe the drought is over.

The more marines the better.

I like the design and while the pose is cool personally when it comes to "playing pawns" my preference is standing figures.
But
Nice paint job I like the brown leather trousers look good.
Copplstone does some generic sci-fi troopers as dose cp miniatures and anvil industry's and pig iorn I could go on.
