I'm looking for Polish houses that will be suitable during the Renaissance era in 28mm. I have no idea what they would look like, and my only reference is the three Polish movies from With Fire and Sword.

For peasants, I would presume timber and thatch.

For actual architecture and better homes:

From what I could find last week with a quick Google search of period artwork, I am going with simple log Russian style izbas with thatch roofs.

Agree with Russki-style timber and thatch, probably shading into white-washed mud brick and thatch in places where trees have value. (Think of that hazy border area of Poland Belorussia and Ukraine.) At one time I leaned heavily toward white-washed mud brick and thatch, because really, all you can do with timber and thatch is invade Russia. But with a nice white-wash and thatch village, you can invade and rebel over a huge swathe of Europe and Asia, just swapping out churches and mosques every now and then.
