Does anyone know where I could get a model for HMS Nelson in 1/2400 that represents her as originally launched? Or are WWII models of her a close enough approximation? Thanks in advance. |

For what it is worth, I think the GHQ Rodney (Nelson's sister) is a mix of before and after her 1941 US refit. I do not believe she carried the twin 20mm on C turret AND the octuple 2 pdrs aft at the same time as does the model. So…. where the model differs from as-built is: Has 4 x octuple 2 pdrs Has mount on C turret Has 4 4.7" instead of 6 Your call. :) |

Wow, I did realize how old the Nelson and Rodney were. I guess they were very advanced designs for their time. Mark |

They were very *compromised* designs, as befitted their time. But so cool. |

Wow, I did realize how old the Nelson and Rodney were. I guess they were very advanced designs for their time. Have a look at the Washington Naval Treaty and you'll see why. |

Speed, firepower, and armour: pick any two. |
