Lone Star Historical Miniatures (LSHM) club of Texas:

Rob Gravener and I met up at Dragon's Lair San Antonio for a game of Bolt Action – Sicily 1943 USA vs Fallschirmjäger – 1250pts. We had 3 objectives along the center line and played 6 turns.

Turn #1 was going well until Rob pulled the final dice (German) and moved his Heavy howitzer on the board and – of course – rolling a 6 hit my M3 halftrack holding a full squad and bazooka team. Scratch one M3, 1/2 a squad and 1/2 a bazooka team.

On turn #2 Rob pulled the first dice (German) and his medium howitzer scored a direct hit on my M18 Hellcat causing 2 pins and forcing it to go down.

Turn #3 the Americans scored revenge by taking out his heavy howitzer from a lucky shot from my M8 Greyhound and then a direct hit by my medium artillery (rolling a 6) on his medium gun. The Germans scored a mortar hit on a US squad rendering it ineffective.

Turn #4 the American's lost a squad due to an unexpected Luftwaffe attack.

By the end of turn #5 the Germans had control of 2 of the 3 objectives and had killed 4 to 2 units, thus securing a victory.

As always, a fun and enjoyable game!
Additionally, the North Africa campaign was being played on the other 3 tables.
