Could someone recommend these models? The Viking Forge website images for them are broken. Thank you.

Viking Forge ship models can be broadly categorized into 3 groups.

1. Ship models with 4 digit cat codes whose prices are in whole dollars, $5.00 USD, $6.00 USD, etc. These are early additions to their line with comparatively limited detail. Better than Panzerschiffes, but more primitive than the rest of VF's offerings.

2. Ship models with cat codes that start with SB. These are SeaBattle models produced by VF from European masters. 1/2400 has virtually no presence in Europe. Go figure. These are superb, easily the equal of GHQ, with the added benefit of being more sturdy.

3. Ship models with 4 digit cat codes whose prices end in "$.95." These are later additions to the VF line. They're all better than "1" above, and some are good enough to rival the SBs. Atlantis and Stier are both in this group.

Unless someone can post a review or pix of these models, (I don't have either) the only way to know will be to order them.

The good news is VF will be attending a convention in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and they will have their entire line with them.

The bad news is that it isn't until November.

Hope this helps.

Cool. Useful information I didn't know. Thanks. Does anyone make better models of these in 1/2400?

I do not believe so. GHQ makes a Pinguin.

Got it. Thanks as always.

There is Masters of Military on the Shapeways site. They have Atlantis, among others. Here is a link to their Atlantis listing: link
