I see in the TMP Hobby News section that Ebor Miniatures is announcing more 15mm Napoleonic Spanish cavalry. Checking their website, I found this item in 15mm Battle Honours. Are these the same Battle Honors figures we have here in the USA, as in OldGlory15s.com? Cheers!

They have good pictures, though. |

Yeah, I think it's the pictures that threw me. The other factor is this announcement from oldglory15s.com: "1/7/22- Unfortunately we have had to make some tough decisions regarding our Battle Honors Napoleonic lines. Due to the fact that the molds are aging and it is becoming a longer process to make 48 count packs we have reduced the pack counts to 24 Infantry, 9 Cavalry or 3 Guns, 12 Crew for Artillery and placed the price at $15.00 USD per pack." So does that mean that the Battle Honours figures that Ebor Miniatures is selling were made from better molds than those produced in the USA? Or as YogiBearMinis mentioned, did Ebor just take some really nice pictures? Cheers!

Does that also mean that a lot of rejects are being cast, so they have to start handpicking the good ones out of the production run? |

Hello 79thPA, That is what is concerning me. When I go to the Ebor site I notice they have two Battle Honours 15mm Napoleonic nations now available, that is Russians, and Spanish. They are all beautifully photographed. I'm speculating here, but it seems to me that they might be from new molds made perhaps from improved masters? Cheers!

They should get rid of that Spanish infantryman smoking a cigarette. Firstly it is not healthy for him, and secondly it is a waste of a figure. I reckon that I could field a whole battalion of the puffing things. |

TMP link according to this they are not Old Glory |

@ johannes55, Hmmmm, since the figures look so similar I'm guessing that there is now more than one source for 15mm Napoleonic Battle Honours Russians and Spanish. Thanks for the link. @ Redcurrent, LOL about the unhealthy Spanish smoker. I have a few of those too. I kinda like 'em because they were becoming popular in Spain about that time. Goya depicted them in some of his artwork. They were called papelates. Cheers! Gallo |

I assume that a manufacturer will pop up to tell me why I am wrong, but why doesn't OG 15s make new moulds (even if the economics of the situation dictate that it has to happen over a period of time)? I have bought thousands of BH figures from OG 15s in recent times, so I am not suggesting that they spend their money doing something that I won't support, but maybe there just isn't a big enough market for BH now. |

Historic reasons??? I fear their ACW moulds are also shot. |

I compared photos side by side, Battle Honours from Old Glory 15s (USA) and Battle Honours from Ebor (UK). Both sets of figures appear to be from the same sculptor and masters. Both have identical features and poses. Redcurrant, both have the Spanish soldier standing around smoking. What the photos do not tell is if Ebor has newer and better molds. Cheers!
