Hi everyone. Thought I would start a thread to communicate/discuss recent/new figure sets that the group may be interested in.

I've recently purchased 20 sets of the very nice Hat Austrian German Napoleonic command set and been very happy with them. Their greatest asset is also (to some) their greatest handicap; the separate hats (which allow you to make them fusiliers in either helmets or shakos, or Grenadiers in bearskins, and separate backpacks, officer arm, drummer's drum and flag bearer's pole require assembly. I personally love the flexibility this provides, but others may not like the gluing on the hats and arms.

Scale is perfect 1/32 so fit in with other Hat products as well as Timpo, Accurate, Armies in Plastic producers figures. Overall very well made and impeccably researched and executed figures. Price is fair at about $20 USD for box of 18 figures.

Also recently bought for the LOD revolutionary war Tory cavalry for possible use as Bavarian Cheveaulegers. This are nice figures, very well articulated and detailed. The horses are a little large compared to some other producers, and I'm not a big fan of them in general. But the figures are worth checking out. They saddle furniture comes attached to the figures, and then snaps over the horse. Price is a little high, but not terrible at $30 USD for 6 figures and horses.

So what have others seen or heard about coming on the market?

Cheers

My purchases are in support of my long term Wagram goal as described and followed on my blog here; my132wagram.blogspot.com

I bought some of my Hat command sets from Michigan Toy Solider Co and some sets from Hobby Bunker.

Thank you for the link to littlewars boards.

Cheers

Are you going to paint all of them, or use them in their natural state?

RBH Jr12 Feb 2022 2:55 a.m. PST

79thPA; unpainted, as explained here: link

Thanks. That looks familiar. I think I read it last year when I was visiting your site.
