As as wargamer, when reading books about battles, I'm often trying to figure out the OOB for both sides down to brigade strenght and battery composition (I play home version od F&F) .

Up to 1863 ther is no problem with very detailed OOBs for big battles. Then, suddenly, detailed OOBs dissapear for 1864 battles.

Just recently I've bought "Lost for the Cause: The Confederate Army in 1864" which fills the gap concerning Confederate Armies.

Is there a similar study about Union Armies in 1864 ?
Where can I find strenght of brigades/divisions for Overland or Atlanta campaigns ?

Any help appreciated.

I believe Battles and Leaders has some. I would have to go back and look. I would have to look at my battle specific to see others. If you are from the US, my whole Civil War collection of books are up for sale. Some of them are out in the Civil War marketplace. Quit a large collection.

I second Battles and Leaders. And there's always the Official Records.
