Thanks Tango, but apart from the fact that Richard Barham Middleton (Links 1, 3 & 4) was a novelist who died in 1911, I was kinda hoping for an opinion from one of the many discerning members of these boards who may have, like, y'know, read some of the above author's books on C18th America.

Picky, I know, but what can you do?
