May your painting go well. Enjoy while your eyes still allow for details.

I am 55, so even if I paint details, I canīt see them later :-) FrontRank WSS miniatures are fun to paint, much better than Perry Napoleonics

My statement stands, unless China, India & Russia really want to Go Green … What the USA does means little.

I.e. India & Russia = 11.5 almost as much as the US at 13.9 …

It has to be clear … The US is in trouble with believing we must Go Green now. That has to be obvious. The USA was energy independent, now we must buy oil from Russia, etc. How is that Going Green ? Does Russian oil burn differently than North American oil … ?

POTUS is a moderate. We are not going green yet. Our oil production is steadily rising since the bottom fell out in 2020 when demand fell. The pipeline issue has no impact, although it may eventually. By 2023 we are projected to be near previous peak production again.

We imported millions of barrels of oil daily during the last admin. Canada, Mexico, Russia, OPEC. We only became a net exporter in 2020. Then the pandemic played havoc with supply and demand, markets. All tracked at DOE.

The problem will come if we do not balance any transition carefully to support the economy down the road. It is not likely the far left will have enough support to cause radical change. But we will see if mother nature decides for us.

The issue of the other large economies depends on whether it turns out to be in their own interests to change. About 2/3 of the US believe in climate change. In China, I am guessing no one is allowed to mention it.

Whatever anyone thinks the cause is, the western US is said to be in the worst megadrought in 1200 years and no sign of relief.
