Anyone has any Wargamer's Digest magazines from the 1970s?

I am looking for a horse and musket ruleset that appeared in Wargamers Digest between 1975-1979, probably more likely 1977-1978.

I believe it was titled "Are you a Great Captain or a Top Sergeant?"

I think it was a two page spread and focused mainly on the American Civil War.

If you could send me either a scan or pics that would be much appreciated.

Thank you to all in advance!

I've got that issue, October 1976. Good memory on the name of the article, "Are You a Great Captain – Or a Top Sergeant?". The author was Samual T. Gill (apologies to Mr Gill if that's a typo, that's how it appears in the magazine). Mr Gill's actual title for the rules is a corker: "LOST CAUSE – Gill's Nonpareil Abe Lincoln and Jeff Davis, U.S. Grant and Robert E. Lee, John Brown and Jesse James All-American Battle Rules".

Anyway, I'll scan them and send them as a pdf tonight.

I really miss wargamers Digest, it was a very good magazine back in its day.

I loved that magazine and have very fond memories of rushing to the hobby store in Des Moines, Iowa when they called to let me know it had arrived!!

If I remember right, Sam Gill and another gamer had an epic point-counterpoint discussion in an old issue of The Courier that ignited a firestorm of letters, responses, etc. It was about taking the hobby seriously or not, so you can imagine what that triggered.
